what does it mean?

what does it mean to see that which you want to see but at the same time know that what you see is not yours for the taking ? what does it mean to be something that your not momentarily? what does it mean to be with someone that you love knowing  fully well that this someone is now hundred miles away from you? what does it mean to be in  the land of your dreams, exploring it, even if it is for a little while? Simply put all this means only one thing- day dreaming. It means, if you are in class you have lost a days notes, if you are at work you have earned your boss's scowling and if you are at home you have found the gateway to your nap. All in all day dreaming is your ticket to realize your dreams at a stage when they are just dreams.

They say that nothing new is ever said and to prove that i shall quote Bryan Adams song "on a day like today" that had ( a long time ago) beautifully put what i just said...take a look:
free is all you gotta be
dream dreams no one else can see....

todays story

shopping for others- if you thought shopping for yourself is fun think again. This is because i feel that it is shopping for others that is more fun. Let me tell you why. To put it simply when you are shopping for yourself the moment you  spot the thing that you want to buy the excitement of shopping subsides. As a result  excitement and fun involved in  shopping for others is far exceeds the excitement involved in  buying for yourself. This is because when you shop for others you are chased by the anticipation of the expression on the receivers face that. The hope to see the perfect expression on the receivers face keeps you on your toes to search for the perfect gift.

Shoping for others is also an enthralling experience. This is because  the receivers expressions, the comments on the gift and the exciting conversations that follows the gift presentation  keeps you dazed and  gets you smiling.  This is what adds to the thrill of the shopping.

considering that I am not a shopaholic and not even some one who likes to shop you might one consider what I have to say.

tactics of the technology

If you feel that you are blessed because you were born in the era of technology let me tell you that technology is nothing short of a bully that makes you work according its wimps and fancy. let me tell how...technology, if you subscribe to it makes you its slave whereby only when technology is in its operative form can you get your work done. In other words technology drives you to state of dependency.  This subjugation by technology reminds me of  the colonizer's who viewed the colonized as uncivilized because they did not the speak the language of the colonizers didn't follow the same religion as the colonizers and led a life quite different from the one led by the colonizers. As a result the colonizers took  it upon themselves to educate the colonized and in this process of colonization the colonized became dependent upon the colonizers.

True that I am using technology to write against technology but let me tell you that the colonizer's would not have been able to colonize with out help from the colonized...so thats that...

let me just add that i had just had a very bad experience on account of my use of technology...so this post is temporary. once the problem is fixed i shall delete this post (but might not, if it takes too long to fix the problem).

the last few days

so the last few days have been busy but then which day isnt? well lets just say the last few days have been exceptionally busy...and the thing about being busy is it takes everything else off from your mind...one could sit and contemplate whether it is bad or not but the way i see it ...being busy prevents you from pursuing your creative pursuits...i.e. to say it prevents you from taking your mind off from the thing that is keeping you busy....well thats something to dwell upon.

the background story

unlike Hamlet whose greatest anguish was "To be or not to be" my greatest anguish is- to write or not to write...to be specific my anguish is what to write and what not to write...gone are those days when one could write anonymously and as a result write whatever one wanted to write. The so called modern era to which i belong  is flagged by the concept of democracy that allows you freedom of speech on the one hand and censorship on the other hand. writing in this era  therefore is doubly difficult because you not only have the challenge of writing  but also the challenge of writing something writeable...However what is life without a little challenge?

I therefore present  to you  my blog..."Yours Faithfully".
